SME Hub is a platform for MSMEs and entrepreneurs to acquire knowledge, learn business best practices and obtain essential information on business start-ups, market access, human capital development, financial resources, industry know-how and various other business aspects.
SME Hub aims to equip MSMEs with clear and focused information as well as knowledge to aid the development of MSMEs in Malaysia. Previously, the method of obtaining information on entrepreneurship was limited. Now with SME Hub, MSMEs can access relevant information online and offline. Furthermore, to ensure this initiative covers the MSMEs in rural areas, ‘SME Hub On-Wheels’ was introduced to assist in providing business advisory services to MSMEs that are located in those areas.
Information provided through this platform is not limited to programmes that are implemented by SME Corp. Malaysia, but also those under Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDAC) and agencies which includes TEKUN, INSKEN, Malaysia Co-operative Societies Commission (SKM), Cooperative Institute of Malaysia (IKM), SME Bank, Bank Rakyat, UDA Holdings, Perbadanan Nasional Berhad (PERNAS), Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB), Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) and various other Financial Institutions. The range of services offered at the SME Hub covers:
- Business advisory services;
- SME Hub Links (collaboration with other Government agencies and organisations);
- Pocket Talk;
- Info Centre (Info Mail, Info Line);
- Resource Centre;
- MSME Product Gallery; and
- Virtual SME Hub (SME Corp. Malaysia website, SMEinfo Portal, MyAssistMSME Portal)
UPDATE! MSMEs are now able to obtain hybrid business advisories by visiting www.myassist-msme.gov.my to get business advisories with business counsellors using the MeetME feature via online.
