- Monitor the implementation of ICT Strategic Plan (ISP) which contains planning for the use of IT in supporting the achievement of SME Corp. Malaysia’s goals.
- Introduce and integrate cross functional processes between agencies to produce more efficient and effective services.
- Coordinate the development, operation and management of a complete and secure IT system and infrastructure based on modular features, connectivity, interoperability and portability.
- Determine the direction of the agency’s application system to reduce the time and cost of development, maintenance and operation.
- Preserve the integrity of electronic data, encourage information sharing and provide methods for the disseminating information electronically to authorized users, whether within or outside SME Corp. Malaysia.
- Member of the Planning and Development Committee or the Main Committee which formulates the policy and is directly responsible to the Secretary General.
- Promote the effective and cohesive use of IT to achieve the strategic goals of SME Corp. Malaysia and act as agents and pioneers of change (Champion of Change).
- Lead and involve SME Corp. Malaysia in government efforts to develop and implement public sector IT projects that lead in the management and administration of public service
- Carrying out the responsibility of ensuring the security of ICT assets; Determine ICT security requirements; and
- Develop and coordinate the implementation of training plans and awareness programs on ICT security.
