KUALA LUMPUR, April 30 (Bernama) -- Beginning this year, the annual award programme Enterprise 50 (E50) is open to all small and medium enterprises (SMEs) incorporated in Malaysia.

This means, local equity ownership is no longer considered as a qualifying criteria.

SME Corp Malaysia Chairman Datuk Ir Dr Mohamed Al Amin Abdul Majid said the change was to encourage and allow participation from all locally incorporated SMEs and turn the programme into a platform for them to benchmark against their peers, both local and international SMEs established in Malaysia.

"This is one of the ways companies can benchmark themselves within the industry," he told reporters after the official launch of E50 here on Friday.

ANUGERAH Inovasi PKS 2010 yang akan diadakan sempena Pameran Inovasi PKS 2010 (Smidex 2010) dari 1 hingga 3 Jun ini menawarkan hadiah wang tunai RM1 juta kepada syarikat perusahaan kecil dan sederhana (PKS) paling inovatif.

Menteri Perdagangan Antarabangsa dan Industri (MITI), Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, berkata majlis anugerah yang akan dihadiri Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib Razak pada 1 Jun itu akan turut mengiktiraf PKS terbaik dari segi inovasi bagi enam kategori dengan hadiah wang tunai RM200,000 setiap satu.
Kategori itu adalah anugerah inovasi teknologi bagi sektor perkilangan, perkhidmatan, pertanian, reka bentuk dan pembungkusan, teknologi hijau dan kecekapan tenaga serta sektor halal.

KUALA LUMPUR, 26 April 2010 – The Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Yang Berhormat Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed has ‘flagged off’ 15 taxis and 2 buses today at Menara MATRADE to promote SME Innovation Showcase - SMIDEX 2010, which will be organised by SME Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp.) from 1 – 3 June 2010 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, with the theme “Pioneering Business Transformation through Innovation”.
