Forums on maximising business potential

PETALING JAYA: A series of forums on how to maximise your business potential will be held in Penang, Johor Baru and Kuala Lumpur in conjunction with The Star’s Outstanding Business Awards 2010.

The first forum will be held on March 17 at the Cititel Hotel in Penang.

Participants will learn more about how to take part in the awards and get interesting tips on how to make their business stand out.

Kenneth Lee, head of commercial and SME business at Maxis Communications Bhd, will speak on “How Communication Technologies Help SMEs to Market and Build Their Businesses”.

Tajul Ariffin Jamaluddin, state director of SME Corp, Penang, will present a paper on “Transforming Business Through Innovation” while Ahmad Faizal Abdul Rahim, senior manager, learning and channel support at Standard Chartered Saadiq Bhd will talk about the bank’s Business Solutions for SMEs.

The fourth speaker is Dixon Chew, CEO of Pensonic Holdings Bhd, who will represent the Branding Association of Malaysia to speak on “Managing Your Brand”.

The final speaker is Arulnathan Michael Dass, head of market and issuers strategy at Bursa Malaysia, who will give tips on how to go for public listing with a presentation on “Kick It Up a Notch; Raise Your Profile by Listing Your Company”.

The participation fee is RM50 per person which includes refreshments and a lunch where you can network with participants.

There will also be surprise gifts.
